Jubail

Saudi Arabia

Jubail, on Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province coast, divides into three distinct districts: an industrial city managed by the Royal Commission and cited as one of the fastest-growing urban developments in the kingdom since the 1970s, a historic old town where long-established residents live, and a residential zone built for desalination workers. In 2021, UNESCO designated Jubail as Saudi Arabia's first Learning City, recognising its commitment to education across the community.
