Jojutla

This town in the southern part of Mexico's Morelos state known for the recreational water destinations around it, including Lake Tequesquitengo, with part of the Sierra de Huautla Biosphere Reserve also within the municipality. The town's Nahuatl name is linked to the indigo plant once processed here, and remnants of a pre-colonial pyramid survive in the staircase of the municipal palace.
