Jessheim

Norway

Jessheim is a small Norwegian town in Ullensaker municipality, Akershus, that has grown rapidly since the mid-20th century and now serves as a regional shopping and services hub for the Øvre Romerike area. It developed as a railway station town on the Hovedbanen line from 1854, and the main shopping centre sits directly beside the station. Just west of town stands Raknehaugen, described as the largest burial mound in northern Europe.
