Jangheung
South Korea
A county in South Jeolla Province with a walkable centre and a dense food-and-drink scene, Jangheung sits along the Tamjin River, which flows south through the county seat before emptying into Gangjin Bay. The Jeongnamjin ferry landing in Gwansan-eup marks the point directly south of Seoul's Gwanghwamun, and the ancient Buddhist temple Borimsa — a founding site of Korean Seon Buddhism — lies in the Yuchi area to the north.
