Jaén
Jaén · Spain
Jaén, in Andalusia, is self-styled the world capital of olive oil — the surrounding province is the largest olive oil producer on earth, and the city has hosted Expoliva, an international olive oil trade fair, biennially since 1983. The historic core climbs the steep slopes of the Cerro de Santa Catalina, with a cathedral, Arab baths, an Iberian art museum, and a Moorish castle among its monuments. Holy Week here carries national tourist-interest status, and the October Feria de San Lucas dates to the 14th century.
