Ide Hill

United Kingdom

This tiny hamlet on one of the highest points of the Greensand Ridge in Kent, Ide Hill sits within the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty a few miles south-west of Sevenoaks. St Mary's Church, built in 1865, claims the distinction of being the highest church in Kent, and the village football pitch holds the same record. Emmetts Garden, a National Trust property laid out in the late 19th century, and Bough Beech Reservoir nature reserve are both close by.
