A pocket-sized Swiss village in the canton of Valais, Fiesch sits in mountain terrain with scenic viewpoints over the Jungfrau-Aletsch Protected Area, a UNESCO World Heritage site accessible from the nearby Fiescheralp — reached by the Eggishorn lift. The village has a reasonable spread of cafés and restaurants for its size, and several churches, making it a workable base for exploring one of the Alps' most celebrated glacial landscapes.
