Dornbirn
Rheintal-Bodenseegebiet · Austria
Vorarlberg's largest city, Dornbirn sits in Austria's westernmost state with a walkable centre dense with listed historic buildings, cafés, and churches. The city grew rapidly in the late 19th century on the back of a textile industry that made it the dominant economic hub between the Rhine and the Arlberg mountains, a role it retains today through commerce and trade. The surrounding region offers easy access to mountain terrain and several UNESCO World Heritage sites.
