Die

Clairette de Die, a sparkling wine produced in the surrounding Diois region, is the calling card of this little subprefecture in southeastern France's Drôme department, set along a river with mountain terrain rising nearby. The town also carries a long history as a former episcopal see and medieval county, with Gallo-Roman city walls and several listed historic monuments still standing in the centre.
