A walkable Mekong Delta city in southern Vietnam's An Giang province, sitting on the Hậu River near the Cambodian border, with a centre full of cafés and restaurants. The Vĩnh Tế Canal runs through the area, and mountains are within reach. Châu Đốc sits a long bus ride west of Ho Chi Minh City, making it a natural stop for travellers moving between Vietnam and Cambodia.
