Bronte

Catania · Italy

Pistachio cultivation defines Bronte, a Sicilian town on the western slopes of Mount Etna whose green pistachios are among the most prized in Italy. Part of both the Etna and Nebrodi parks, the town sits amid vineyards and farmland, with a compact centre holding a concentration of historic churches and a real café and restaurant scene. The area was historically home to an Arbëreshë Albanian community, adding a distinct cultural layer to this agricultural town.
